WHO IS ELIE SAAB? HE HAS HOLLYWOOD UNDER HIS SPELL
Lebanese designer Elie Saab has long been a leading name in haute couture in the Middle East, where his romantic, crystal-encrusted evening and wedding gowns attracted princesses to his Beirut atelier, opened in 1982 (when he was just 18 years old). His ready-to-wear line, which launched in 1998 in Milan, heralds the same feminine aesthetic as his couture dresses, with brightly-colored silks, chiffons, pearl beading, and embroidered lace. Classically regal, yet unmistakably sexy, Saab's designs combine Middle Eastern details with European fashion, and appear at home on Hollywood A-listers like Halle Berry who wore Saab at the 2002 and 2003 Academy Awards. For years, Elie Saab dressed the most sophisticated women in the Middle East. Critics, the International Press and Colleagues have praised his workmanship and his choice of style, which renders woman astonishingly beautiful. His fabrication is Middle Eastern, carried out by the one hundred artisans in the Beirut Atelier.
Chudney Ross, Yes, we all covet a celebrity stylist to hand pick us a one of kind, haute couture gown, but if you don’t have one (and I definitely do not), don’t fret. It’s really not about the dress at all. It’s about feeling comfortable, confident and sexy in what you are wearing.

Whether it is the Inauguration Ball or the Golden Globes adding beautiful jewelry completes the ensemble. Take a look at our leading First Lady, Michelle Obama at the Inaugural Ball. The First Lady, Michelle Obama is classy and sophisticated in her style of dress, however for the Inaugural Ball Michelle Obama pulled out all of the stops with earrings, bracelets, and a cocktail ring by Loree Rodkin. Loree Rodkin's designs are a fusion between modern and medieval with artisan engraving.
The 66th Golden Globe Awards definitely brought on the "Bling". Some celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria Parker, and Angelina Jolie wore a few key pieces of jewelry that delivered stunning sparkle. Jennifer Lopez took a more subtle approach with her jewelry by wearing a pair of earrings by Lorraine Schwartz. Lorraine Schwartz is known for her beautiful creations of fancy colored diamonds and gemstones. Eva Longoria Parker wore a pair of platinum vintage cluster earrings by Verdura that complemented her beautiful scarlet strapless mermaid dress. Verdura's, vintage jewelry captures the 1930's. Angelina Jolie was classy and chic in a pair of platinum earrings and ring by Neil Lane. Neil Lane creates exquisite estate pieces.

The history of notable men’s fashion dates back to the early 1800’s. Today we here many fashion terms in relation to men and fashion. The one word that comes up frequently over the past seven years is METRO-SEXUAL. Our team researched the term, the word and its meaning that was clearly broken down by Mark Simpson in 1994 in an article that highlights the evolution of the word and what its mean to be metro-sexual.
Simpson states: "The typical metro-sexual is a young man with money to spend, living in or within easy reach of a metropolis – because that's where all the best shops, clubs, gyms and hairdressers are. He might be officially gay, straight or bisexual, but this is utterly immaterial because he has clearly taken himself as his own love object and pleasure as his sexual preference. Particular professions, such as modeling, waiting tables, media, pop music and, nowadays, sport, seem to attract them but, truth be told, like male vanity products and herpes, they're pretty much everywhere.
"For some time now, old-fashioned (re)productive, repressed, unmoisturized heterosexuality has been given the pink slip by consumer capitalism. The stoic, self-denying, modest straight male didn't shop enough (his role was to earn money for his wife to spend), and so he had to be replaced by a new kind of man, one less certain of his identity and much more interested in his image – that's to say, one who was much more interested in being looked at (because that's the only way you can be certain you actually exist). A man, in other words, who is an advertiser's walking wet dream - Reference from Simpson's Salon.com definition.
At the end of the day, its great to see men look good in great colors that compliment there skin, styles that are easy yet constructed and of course every woman notices a man that is well styled. By L. Christine
